Product Description
Stainless steel coffee press

Amazon.com Review
Don't confine the pleasure of pressed coffee to home. With this combination of coffee press and vacuum-insulated thermos, European-style coffee turns up at the office or campground and stays hot three times longer than coffee made in a glass press. Simply spoon in ground coffee, add boiling water, place the lid on with plunger in the up position, wait four minutes, push down the plunger slowly, and . . . Presto! Fresh, piping-hot coffee for two or three hours. Lightweight and virtually unbreakable, the press has a handsome, satin-finish exterior and tough, nonslip, black plastic top and bottom. The press parts and smooth interior clean with sponge or cloth. --Fred Brack

2 out of 5 stars Good idea poor execution   September 6, 2010

I'm being generous giving this product two stars. First, it keeps coffee warm for an hour only if completely full. If it's less then full you have maybe 20 minutes. Second, an more importantly is the problem with the screen. The product was almost unusable from the start. After an hour with needle nose pliers I finally got the screen straight enough to make it usable. You know when the screen is kinked again when you get a mouth full of grounds. Seriously for then price of this item; skip it.

3 out of 5 stars Mediocre   August 22, 2010

This coffee pot fell apart after only a few uses. We were able to put it back together, but the pot I have myself is much better quality. The lid also is not insulated so it doesn't keep coffee as warm while camping.

4 out of 5 stars great for keeping the coffee warm   August 20, 2010

Its a fine french press and I like that it keeps the coffee warm I have had a bit of a problem with grounds getting through the strainer. Not sure why. Overall, I'm satified.

5 out of 5 stars Couldn't be happier with this press!   August 14, 2010

For the past several years I've been carrying a Nissan thermos back and forth to work so I could have good coffee, instead of the cheap bitter coffee work provides. While, I love the thermos (it keeps coffee hot for hours), I decided I didn't want to carry it anymore and shopped around for a press to keep at work. This press fits the bill nicely.

This press is durable, large enough for my husband and I to each have a large cup of coffee, and if you use boiling or near boiling water, it keeps the coffee hot for at least an hour (though it usually doesn't need to). It's also easy to clean.

You do need to use a fairly coarse grind, but that is fine. It still makes coffee strong enough to my liking and it is smooth. Yum.

4 out of 5 stars practical coffee for the day   August 10, 2010

Nice craftsmanship and a pleasure to use. I like to drink a few cups of joe a day. I previously used a coffee maker in my home office and after a few hours on the burner it was undrinkable. This lets me more simply brew a pot with the reusable ss filter inside, and use it through the day as i desire. I don't worry about turning the pot off or burning it. I do have to microwave a "fresh poured" cup after 2+ hours, as it cools more rapidly than a glass thermos. But I like the rugged nature of this one and it fits my desire for practical form and function. i expect it will last for years (I broke my last glass uninsulated french press several years ago and switched to a drip coffee maker then). So with this I have come back to french press technology. I recommend this to the person who is willing to accept some degraded thermal performance (2 hour and the coffee is luke warm) for the rugged and enduring benefits of stainless steel. Suitable for 1 or two people in a small office.
